…not a stranger to it, no. Today was another SUPER AWESOME PRODUCTIVE DAY! Kinda. Chugging right on through a lot of BS. My gods there is a lot of BS to chug. But it’s getting there. (more…)

I wasn’t kidding
I think I mentioned that I have a staggering amount of images and material from my Scotland trip. Trying to make time to go through it and make some sense of them has taken a huge effort – it’s just an intimidating amount of stuff. How much? I tallied it up a few days ago. […]
SMG 2010 Lecture Series
And now the big news: This is the the postcard for the Seattle Metals Guild’s 2010 lecture series. Not only am I presenting a lecture; they chose my image for the biggest, splashiest, highest profile spot. Squee! (This isn’t a piece I made; it’s a photo I took at the British Museum.) I have to […]
Update time!
Things are chugging right along. It’s strange how just a few changes can make a huge difference in mindset — there’s still an absurd amount of stuff on my ToDo, but for the first time I don’t feel like I’m spinning my wheels and getting nowhere. So what changed?

Penguin: SOLD!
The majority of the penguins were sold tonight by silent auction at the Greenwood Collective’s artwalk. My Professor Herringbone was a hit! I’m so delighted! The bidding was fast and furious as 5 different bidders ratcheted the price higher and higher, before a 6th bidder plunked down the “buy-it-now” price (more than twice the previous […]
Artist’s Update: Penguins On The March!
Dear Friends, As many of you know, I recently made the transition to working full time as a studio artist, and as an inaugural studio project I participated in “Penguins On The March,” a public art project to benefit Woodland Park Zoo’s newly renovated penguin exhibit. Similar to Seattle’s ‘Pigs On Parade’ exhibit, participating artists […]
