You will be reviewed by Tim McCreight from 2:30-2:45, all time slots are 15 minutes, so please be ready to begin on time and end on time. Thank you and see you soon!”
Holy fucking crap!
Not only got a spot, but got my first pick of reviewer. “Uncle Tim” wrote my college textbooks. I wonder if he knows that there’s a generation of young metalsmiths that call him that.
Oh my gods I get a sit-down interview with Tim McCreight. O_o
lol – congratulations! You will kick ass, and you will get some ideas about where to focus.
I hope! OMFG!!
I have to say that it has been really fun for the last few months to sit and read and watch as you just take life by the horns and completely make it your bitch. Here’s to you and your general kicking ass in life Hot Sauce!
I was going to say exactly the same thing. I’m so proud of you!
Thanks, both of you. Hearts and <3's and stuff!
Still stunned. Wow, and yipe!
Thanks hon! …not sure whether to laugh, cry, or puke. My bloodpressure has still not returned to normal.
And anyway — look who’s talking! Mr Setting-Up-Shop-In-A-New-Town… Here’s to making shit happen. :)
and yeah, I wanna puke alot of the time too ;)
But nothing quite feels like taking over your life and making things happen. go us :)
Congratulations and good luck!
Kick ass and take names!
Awesome! I’m thrilled for you–now go and knock his socks off!
It sounds like this is really cool news, so congratulations and go kick ass…but I have to ask…um, who’s Tim Creighton?
::embarrassed by my ignorance::
See previous entry – prolific author and renowned metalsmith. Wrote the first textbook on metalsmithing I had in college and, come to think of it, I only had three textbooks thru the entire program. And the second one was by him too.
So, yeah, pretty much one of my heroes. Still not sure if this is Yay! or Yipe! — it’s a little of both.
Just goes to show you how scattered and out of touch I’ve been the last week or so. ::sigh:: Okay, yes, this is awesome and exciting. Very cool indeed!
BTW, appropos of some of what we talked abou yesterday at lunch, do you know about this book? I’ve been wanting it for ages, but I suspect at the moment it would be far more useful for you….
How did it go how did it go?? :):) You rock! er.. You metal? Something like that, I think metal smashes rock and cuts paper, probably a tie with scissoring.
