Still here, still going.
Hello lovelies,
Long time no post, I know. Had some fairly crappy times lately. I am comforted at the moment though by the thought that the pile of work sitting behind me — tagged and ready for delivery to a gallery tomorrow — is “worth” quite a fair chunk of change. If it were to all sell tomorrow.
It won’t all sell, of course; I’ll be pleased if *any* of it sells. (It’s not pessimism, it’s just the reality of it. Crap economy = crap sales in the art biz. And, I am new — no client base, no repeat sales — yet.)
However: this lot, combined with the batch completed & delivered to a different locale earlier this month, have a combined total amount that is roughly equivalent to my starting month’s salary at the corporate job. All of it started and completed within the last month; one month’s output. If I can keep up this pace, the sales will follow — someday, one hopes. And that means a living wage.
Pics and a real update soon, promise.
~Still fighting the good fight.
Don’t worry – if not now, then soon.
Look art you go ya bad-ass!
Does this mean you’ll be making it out to Steampunk this Saturday?
You live! Yay!
Nobody said that being anything you wanted to be can without a lot of work. Yeesh. It’ll pay off in ways you’ll never expect and more gloriously.
I <3 you.
